Harnessing Your ADHD Strengths

Unmanaged strengths can become impairments. Managed ADHD symptoms become strengths you can harness to excel and succeed in your business or career.

This presentation will demonstrate how each typical ADHD symptom is a strength when harnessed and managed. We will show how to identify your ADHD impairments, find strategies to manage them to be your strengths.  Once identified and you are aware, you can coordinate your efforts, energy and time to work within your ADHD strengths.

What you get in 2 Hours:

  1. Overview of typical ADHD symptoms and their impairments,
  2. Real examples of how my ADHD impairments sabotaged my growth,
  3. Real examples of strategies I created to work with my ADHD strengths,
  4. Hand out and tools to use during the workshop,
  5. You will create your ADHD strength highlights,
  6. You will generate strategies to work within your ADHD strengths more,
  7. You will gain clarity on your ADHD strengths.

$10.00 of each workshop registration fee will be donated to Centre of ADHD Awareness, Canada (CADDAC), a Canadian national charitable  organization dedicated to improving the lives of those with ADHD through ADHD awareness, education and advocacy.

Each donation will be used to:

  • Develop, provide and present up-to-date scientifically based information on ADHD
  • Provide support for individuals, families and ADHD organizations
  • Actively advocate to government and institutional decision makers on the impact of ADHD, lack of resources and other issues that affect those with ADHD
Mapping Your ADHD - Date TBD

The workshop will help the attendee identify their ADHD unique symptoms. With this awareness, the attendee will develop insights and together we will develop strategies to manage their symptoms to be working as strengths and not impairments.

What you get in 3 Hours:

  1. Review of typical ADHD symptoms and their impairments,
  2. Mapping My ADHD™ tool to follow and develop insights and strategies throughout the workshop,
  3. Breakout Rooms to share and gain insight from fellow entrepreneurs and professionals,
  4. You will create your My ADHD Map™ that is unique to you and strategies to maintain working in your ADHD strengths,

Strengths and Talents Outside of ADHD - Date TBD

We will discuss the three parts of the mind and get to know their instinctive talents to solve problems and strengths on how they like to work. The three parts of the mind are not related to ADHD. Understanding your instincts, talents and strengths to solve problems will help you manage your ADHD symptoms and work longer with your ADHD strengths.

The attendee will learn and understand how they work and how they need to solve problems to be successful while discovering their unique way of doing things that is perfect for them. Learn to communicate and advocate how they work best to others and gain clarity on how they feel like they work best is how they work best.

What you get in 4 Hours:

  1. Discussion of the three parts of the mind: cognitive, affective, and conative,

Planning and Seeing your Day & Week - Date TBD

We will demonstrate how ADHD’ers do not perceive time the same as neurotypicals and how all the planning journals and books are not suited for ADHD brains.

I have developed a planning process that works for my ADHD brain and you will use worksheets to develop your own planning process that will work for your ADHD brain.

What you get in 3 Hours:

  1. Discussion of my unique Getting Shit Done Journal process,
  2. Discussion of weekly use of My Shit List tool,
  3. Discussion of my daily Focus Maximizer™ tool,
  4. Breakout Rooms to share and gain insight from fellow entrepreneurs and professionals,
  5. Using your My ADHD Map™, you will develop strategies to ensure you are working to your daily plan and expectations.
Automating You: Habits, Routines and Systems - Date TBD

You will come away understanding that structure is very important to the ADHD brain and structure can be set up to not be restrictive. You will understand how habits (good and bad) are developed consciously and subconsciously and that routines and systems are key to a successful day and week.  Life is greatly simplified using structure to allow you do what you want to do with your time and energy.

What you get in 3 Hours:

  1. Discussion of my habits, routines affected success and freed me up for success,
  2. Discussion on how the systems I created at my company saved me time and frustration,
  3. Understand that structure ensures you are working within your
  4. Worksheets and tools provided to brainstorm and develop strategies for new habits, routines and systems.
  5. Breakout Rooms to share and gain insight from fellow entrepreneurs and professionals,
  6. Using your My ADHD Map™, you will develop strategies to create new habits, routines and systems to ensure you will not invite ADHD impairments to push you around.
Engineering Start-up Woes - Date TBD

André Brisson will share his insight and experiences starting up two niche market engineering firms in Ontario, Canada. He was told a niche market firm was not sustainable to grow and as usual has proven them wrong.  André will concentrate on years 0 thru 5 and share his experience throughout that time frame regarding generating work, pricing, insurance, liability, hiring staff, networking, and what type of entrepreneur do you want to be.  This workshop is open to engineering entrepreneurs who have started engineering firms and who are thinking about starting an engineering firm.

What you get in 2 hours

  1. Discussion will cover generating work, pricing, insurance, liability exposure, hiring staff, networking, and common struggles and challenges.
  2. Identify what type of entrepreneur you want to be and how that will affect your growth.
  3. Why is year 3 and year 5 important to know about?
  4. Clarity on what you want to do with your company and your own personal growth.

Quarterly Masterminds for the High Achieving ADHD Entrepreneur

Four quarterly workshops

Each workshop is 6 hours in length with a break when virtual/8 hours in length with breaks when in person with a group of 10 – 15 ADHD entrepreneurs meeting quarterly to work and grow themselves and their companies to free up time and enjoy life.

You will be in a room of like-minded people with the same brain type helping each other achieve goals because they understand each other and will support each other and keep everyone accountable.

What you will get from the quarterly workshops:

  • Meeting with the same people each time to grow together,
  • Learning and understanding how you work best,
  • Support from people with the same brain type,
  • Developing your own unique strategies to build you and your companies,
